Where did the Littlestown High School Alma Mater come from?
(It looks like it was borrowed from the University of Pennsylvania.)

A different version of the LHS Alma Mater apperaed once in the 1920s:
Alma Mater (1925 yearbook)
Near the waving golden corn fields
In our busy little town,
Proudly stands our Alma Mater
Off ring all the same renown.
How we love thy spacious halls
Filled with shouts of merry glee
And the dear familiar faces
Of our learned faculty!
Hail to thee, our Alma Mater!
We'll be ever true to you,
And we ll always cherish fondly
Memories of Gold and Blue.

LHS Alma Mater as it appeared in 1934 yearbook:
(First time that it was included in the yearbook in its present form)

All hail! ALMA MATER (Thee was not in this line in 1934)
Thy sons cheer thee now
To thee, Littlestown High School
All rivals must bow.
Victorious forever,
Thy colors dear must be
Forever, forever
They'll wave in victory

LHS Alma Mater Now:
All hail Thee, ALMA MATER (Paul Harner, LHS Band director may have added the [Thee])
Thy sons cheer thee now
To thee, Littlestown High School
All rivals must bow.
Victorious forever,
Thy colors dear must be
Forever, forever
They'll wave in victory

Note: Music is basically the same as the University of Pennsylvania Band March. The high school band realized this in the 1980s .

The University of Pennsylvania Band March:
Hail Alma Mater!
Thy sons cheer thee now.
To thee, Pennsylvania,
All rivals must bow,
Glorious forever,
Thy colors dear will be
Forever, forever
They'll wave in Victory.

Note:
Paul Harner was the first Band director of Littlestown High School. He was an itinerant band director for several Adams County Schools before being hired to the staff at Littlestown. He would travel to a different school each day of the week. The LHS Band dated from 1935. Which is the time when he started as an itinerant band director. He first appeared in 1938 year book as being on the faculty of Littlestown.

(Information from Yearbooks at the Historical Society in Littlestown and from Mike Chase and Barry Wareham, both retired band directors from Littlestown. Mike at the High
School and Barry from the Middle School.)
